The doubt in Flamengo's lineup created by coach Rogério Lourenço for this Sunday's match (08.08, against Corinthians, was maintained until moments before the ball rolled at Pacaembu. And when the red-black team entered the field, who was among the starters in the midfield, replacing the suspended Correa, was the young Antônio.

Wearing the number 41 jersey and still unknown to much of the fans, the player, in his own opinion, had a good match. Trying to mark hard and keep the ball in front of the defense, he made good tackles and tried to improve Flamengo's ball flow.

"I think I had a good performance. I moved well, left aside the pressure of the debut and tried to do everything that Professor Rogério Lourenço asked," he said.

Even so, the player lamented the result. In his first professional game for the club he's played for since he was 12, Antônio was hoping for a victory.

"I'm sad about the result. Of course I wanted to come out victorious, but unfortunately it didn't work out. Now I have to keep working to seize new opportunities when they arise," he added.
