Buser, the app that connects travelers with shared destinations to charter buses, is the new official sponsor of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. Flamengo and Buser have finalized negotiations, and the platform's brand will now be featured on the sleeves of the men's and women's professional soccer teams' uniforms, and on the back of the U-20 team. The contract runs until the end of this year, with the possibility of renewal.
According to Marcelo Abritta, CEO of Buser, the sponsorship investment aims to expand the company throughout the country. "Football is huge, as is national road transportation. We want to bring Brazilians together so they can experience every moment, in every fan base. We believe in sharing, whether it's transportation or the excitement of the stands; we believe in Brazil," he stated.
According to the startup's Marketing Director, Fátima Bana, the initiative's objective goes beyond connecting the brand with its audience. "This is just the beginning. Buser is now beginning to sponsor sports, as well as musicals and cultural events in general. We believe in sports as a tool for education and leisure, a right for everyone. Soccer is a national passion, and we believe in the integration this sport fosters between male and female audiences—something for everyone and for all fan bases," she reveals.
For Flamengo's Marketing Director, Mauricio Portela, the partnership with Buser reinforces the club's positioning not only as the strongest brand in Brazilian football but also as a leading digital platform in terms of engagement and social media views, perfect for creating awareness for brands like Buser. "We are very happy to have Buser as one of our sponsors. This partnership will reinforce our path toward an increasingly digital future in our relationship with our fans," he says.
The Buser app is one of the cheapest options for traveling between cities and states in Brazil. The app, which connects people with a shared destination to charter buses and split the cost, allows users to save up to 60% on ticket prices compared to bus stations. The app also offers executive, semi-sleeper, and sleeper options. Travel is booked entirely online, without the need to go to a ticket counter.
