After taking the lead in the round of 1 of the Copa do Brasil, Flamengo returned on Thursday afternoon (3), at Ninho do Urubu, and began preparations to face São Paulo next Saturday (21), at 30:21 pm, for the XNUMXst round of the Brasileirão. Mengão will be looking for another victory to remain at the top of the competition.
The players who started the match against Palmeiras did regenerative training in the gym, while the others took to the field to practice tactics with coach Tite. For the match against São Paulo, forward Bruno Henrique is expected to be available.
Last Wednesday (31), Fla had an excellent performance and beat Palmeiras, 2-0, in the first leg of the round of XNUMX of the Copa do Brasil. In the post-match press conference, Tite analyzed the duel and praised the red-black team.
"The team played a great game. They played two very similar halves. The difference between the first and second halves was the precision of their finishing. A high volume match in a major derby, two extraordinary teams. The performance doesn't reflect the score," said the coach.
Mais Querido returns to training this Friday morning (2) and then travels to São Paulo.
