Rubro-negro began preparing for Thursday's game against Coritiba at Maracanã.
By Flamengo Archive - inAfter yesterday's 1-0 victory over Vasco at Maracanã, Flamengo's squad returned to training Monday afternoon at Gávea Stadium. This is the start of preparations for Thursday's match against Coritiba at Maracanã, a match valid for the 31st round of the Brazilian Championship. With 52 points, Flamengo is four points behind leaders Grêmio and needs a victory on Thursday to stay in contention for its sixth title.
The players who started the match against Vasco did only muscle relaxation exercises in the gym. On the field, coach Caio Júnior led a training session for the rest of the squad. Luizinho, one of the candidates to replace Juan, who is suspended for the match against Coritiba, felt pain in his left groin and had to leave training. The player will be re-evaluated tomorrow by the medical department.
