Coach Silas has already warned: the team and fans cannot let their heads drop because of a loss to Palmeiras last weekend. And the players understood the coach's message well. Banking on unity and good relationships within the group, they are confident they will return to winning ways in their next match, against Goiás, at Serra Dourada.
Striker Diogo emphasizes the importance of good humor and a good atmosphere off the field so that things on the field go as smoothly as possible.
"The relationship within the group is great. Everyone is very friendly, and that only helps on the field. The whole group gets along well, and when you carry that into the game, the results are better. Even when the team wasn't doing well, without a win, we were in good spirits. Now we're even more motivated, and we have to maintain that. We can't get discouraged because of one game," he said.
Full-back Leonardo Moura agrees and asks that the team not waste any more good chances to gain more points in the table.
"We were on a very positive run, the team hadn't lost in a few games, and we know we need to maintain consistency. The Brazilian Championship is a very difficult championship, and we can't waste good opportunities. We know the result was negative, but we need to turn things around in the next match," he added.
