It was an intense night that ended with a thrilling victory for the Mais Querido. By defeating Junior Barranquilla 2-0 at the Metropolitan Stadium, Flamengo qualified for the 2017 CONMEBOL Sudamericana final.

After the match, Willian Arão visited the stadium's mixed zone and spoke with reporters. The Flamengo midfielder, who made 26 of Flamengo's 223 successful passes in the match, explained Flamengo's performance in Colombia.

"We changed some things tactically. We knew it would be difficult, that Junior would have the ball and thus control the match. But we also played and created opportunities. We took advantage of them and they didn't, and so we came out victorious," he said.

Flamengo's number five stated that, before the continental decision, his thoughts are on the last round of the Brazilian Championship.

"Let's work. We have a very difficult game on Sunday. Let's rest now and think about Sunday, then Independiente," he said, referring to the final's opponent.
