Taking advantage of the week without a game on Wednesday, Flamengo continues training hard for the remainder of the Campeonato Carioca. After Muricy Ramalho's training session this morning, midfielder Willian Arão spoke to reporters at a press conference at the George Helal Training Center.

Play alongside Mengão and make our team stronger: become a member.

The player commented on the new 4-4-2 tactical scheme, praised the strength of the red-black squad, celebrated the free time for training and Flamengo's moment in the season.

See the main excerpts from the press conference:

New 4-4-2 tactical scheme
We performed very well, with the most important mentality on the ball: moving around and not helping with the marking. Regardless of the formation, even with three attackers, everyone comes back to help mark. It's all about helping that we'll get results. Regardless of the formation we've been playing, everyone has contributed to the build-up and playmaking.

Cast
We have a strong squad, which also highlights the importance of the players who are out and, consequently, serves as a warning to those who are playing. We have to maintain and raise the level to avoid any gaps. It's worthwhile because it raises the level of Flamengo and the squad.

Training week
Being able to train, work, and analyze the mistakes we've been making. When we play from Wednesday to Sunday, there's barely time to recover. There's a whole context, the gym, finishing practice.

Result
We're high-level competitors, we always want to win. Victory is what makes us grow, and we're driven by it. Naturally, we demand a lot from ourselves, but the team is playing very well. It's a matter of details to get results. In the last two matches, we had 70 and 75% possession, and we created many opportunities. We can't talk about a drop in performance. We've made some mistakes in detail. Yes, we should win some matches, but we've created and suffered few scares in recent times. There's some detail we need to figure out, and the coach is already talking to us.
