Still on the field after the final whistle that decreed a 5-0 win over Palestino, securing the Mais Querido's place in the next round of the CONMEBOL South American Championship, Willian Arão commented on the match's result. Following the 5-2 victory in the first leg, another impressive victory, this time 5-0, emphatically secured the red-and-black team's progression in the continental competition. 

Arão praised the performance in the match, commenting on the requests made by interim coach Jayme de Almeida to the team, which were masterfully implemented on Wednesday night. "With joy, with humility, with partnership. We knew we weren't coming off good championships, but today we showed that we haven't forgotten how to play football. So we have to do what we did today. Of the seven chances I counted, we scored five goals. That's very important."

Scorer of the fourth goal, the midfielder performed the classic celebration that symbolizes one of the most special moments in any couple's life. With his wife Amanda five months pregnant, the number 5 dedicated the beautiful goal to his daughter Isabel. "My wife was asking me to," he joked. "She's five months pregnant. I was able to score a goal and dedicate it to our princess Isabel, who is on her way," concluded Arão.

The next red-black challenge, this time for the Brazilian Championship, will be played this Sunday (13). At the Independência stadium, Mais Querido will face the Atlético-MG team, with the ball rolling from 16 pm.
