Midfielder Willian Arão gave a press conference today (06), at the George Helal Training Center, after the morning's activities. The player spoke about Flamengo's past, present and future this season. He stressed that the team remains committed to seeking positive results.
"The team the fans want to see is the team that wins, and we have to win," said Arão.

Pressure for recent results
The pressure is the same; we have to win every match. The Flamengo players know this pressure, and we understand it. We know we have to improve, and we'll work to improve and seek as many victories as possible in the next competition, the Brazilian Championship, and against Fortaleza on Wednesday (the 18th, in the Copa do Brasil).
Poor team performance
It's hard to pinpoint just one reason why we haven't reached these finals (of the Carioca Championship). I think losing to teams is part of the game. If you analyze the last few games, you'll see that we're creating chances, but our opponents are scoring. We have to keep working, we have to improve to reach the Copa do Brasil final and get off to a good start in the Brazilian Championship.
Individual income
It's hard to say. I demand a lot from myself, I always try to give my best. I'm always striving for the best, but I also depend on my teammates and I'm here to help them and Flamengo.

We have a team, a squad, a great coach, a great fan base, and a solid jersey. I believe we'll go far. We know our strengths, but we also know we need to improve. We'll give it our all to get there.

In both, the coach gives me freedom, but also demands a lot from me, so I can fulfill my role of going forward and coming back to defend. I'm a player who has to be everywhere on the field at all times, so I condition and prepare myself for that. I'll do everything I can to improve alongside my teammates.

We have a lot of game volume and possession. We're managing to create chances even when teams are often way behind. Against Fortaleza, there were times when we were all ten men, and we still managed to create chances. I think that's a good thing. We can't say we're only doing bad things; we have to improve, but we're doing a lot of good things too.
What does the team need to do to take off?
We have to keep working, keep improving. Be more careful with your finishing, with the final pass, to put your teammate in front of goal. Be more focused. Eventually, this will change, the ball will start going in, and we'll start winning matches.
