Argentinian arrives wanting to repeat the success of his "brothers"
Having made his mark with Montillo and citing Conca as an example, Bottinelli believes he can find his form in Brazil.

The discussion became commonplace after the 2010 season in Brazilian football. Do we need the creativity of Argentine midfielders? D'Alessandro at Inter, Montillo at Cruzeiro, and Conca at Fluminense have been excelling in Brazil, and this success of the Argentinians inspires Flamengo's new signing, Darío Bottinelli, to also try to achieve this recognition.

Chile, incidentally, has had a strong relationship with Flamengo in recent seasons. In 2010, the Rubro-negro (Flamengo) traveled extensively to Santiago. After all, they faced Católica, Bottinelli's former team, and "La U," Montillo's former team, in the Copa Santander Libertadores. "My role models are the Chilean players Maldonado and Fierro. Because they're from Chile, they're the ones I know best. I'm calm. I've played in leagues like the Argentinian and Chilean ones. Nicknamed "El Pollo" (chicken, in Spanish), Bottinelli is the second signing officially announced by the Flamengo board, which had already reached an agreement with goalkeeper Felipe, formerly of Corinthians and who was playing for Sporting Braga in Portugal.
