A national idol, Arrascaeta was honored this Wednesday (18) when he received a commemorative plaque from the hands of the football director, José Boto, in recognition of the milestone of 100 goals with the Sacred Mantle.

The feat occurred on February 22nd, in a 3-0 victory over Madureira in the first leg of the Campeonato Carioca semi-final. His 100th goal came from a penalty kick at the Maracanã. Following that, Flamengo secured the state championship title, adding another achievement to the midfielder's victorious career.

Currently, the Uruguayan has already increased his tally, totaling 101 goals in 366 matches for Flamengo, solidifying his place among the great names in the club's recent history.

Arrascaeta became the fourth Flamengo player to reach 100 goals in the 21st century, alongside Pedro, Bruno Henrique, and Gabriel Barbosa. He is also the highest-scoring foreign player and the second player with the most appearances in Flamengo's history.

In addition to his goals, the Uruguayan has accumulated 109 assists, making him the player in the current squad with the most assists. At the Maracanã, he is also among the top goalscorers in the stadium's recent era.
