Until recently, Atlético Mineiro's attack wore Flamengo's jersey. Diego Tardelli and Obina played together for the club and even scored goals in the Campeonato Carioca final. Today, on the other side, the center forwards are among the club's main strengths, and their former teammates know they need to give the duo their full attention, but they're confident they can stop the club's goalscorers.

The mission, for defender Welinton, will not be easy. He knows well the opponents he will face in the duel next Saturday (13.11), in Sete Lagoas, and praises Obina and Tardelli.

"I'm not calm. Obina is a great player, strong, good in the head. He's no fool and has played well for Atlético. Tardelli is fast, quick. Atlético has a great team. He has many virtues and we have to find a way to keep him," he said.

Goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba agrees and goes further: he believes Flamengo and Atlético could, instead of fighting to avoid the bottom of the table, be battling for the top spots. According to the goalkeeper, both clubs have strong squads and don't deserve to be in this situation.

"I've already participated in training with both of them here at Fla, Tardelli has already joined the national team... It's a great attack against a great defense. Two great teams that didn't deserve to be in this situation. We're going there to win, prepared to face any attack. We've already faced the leaders, the defense is good for this game," he added.
