The red-and-black squad returned to training for the derby against Vasco on Wednesday morning (June 24.06) at the George Helal Training Center. After warming up on field 2 and doing muscle explosion exercises, the athletes headed to field 1 for technical training. The goalkeepers trained agility and impulse with Wagner Miranda.
During the training session, the squad was divided into three teams and worked on a reduced-size field. The squad was then reorganized into four groups, two in each quadrant of the field, to improve passing and movement. During the session, Gabriel suffered a sprained right ankle, which is not considered a cause for concern and will be reevaluated on Thursday (June 25.06).
After a blow to the thigh in the Tuesday's training (23.06), Canteros was spared from field activities due to slight pain and did physical exercises in the gym. Recovered from an elbow injury, Almir has been in the hands of the physical trainers since the last training session.
The team is working hard with an eye on the Clássico dos Milhões, which takes place this Sunday (28.06), at 18:30 pm, at Arena Pantanal. Flamengo is counting on its strong fan base in Mato Grosso to go in search of victory and on all the red-blacks for the season: become a fan member.
