It was an unlikely hero's week. Scoring against Universidad Católica and Fluminense, right-back Rodinei experienced the sensation of being decisive at Maracanã twice. Embraced by the Red-Black Nation, the player left Tatuí to make history wearing the Sacred Mantle.

After the 2-1 victory in the second game of the Campeonato Carioca final, played this Sunday (7), the player spoke to the press at Maracanã. "Our greatest merit was our will and determination. We started by losing this game and we looked for the result to be able to crown it with this title", said Rodinei.

"I can't believe I scored the winning goal. I'm very grateful for the support the fans have for me. We'll be back on Tuesday focusing on the Copa do Brasil, and great things are still to come this year. We showed that the group is well focused, and we're going after more titles this year," commented the full-back.

Like other athletes, Rodinei also had high praise for Zé Ricardo, praising the coach. "Zé Ricardo is an excellent professional and person, a man of character. I can only thank him for the opportunities he gives my teammates and me. I congratulate him, all of us, and especially the entire nation," he concluded.
