After Flamengo's last training session before this Saturday's match (10), striker Gabriel commented on the need for a great performance from Mais Querido against Vitória, in order to continue the team's good phase in the Brasileirão and remain strong in the search for the leadership of the competition.

"Expectations for the game are the best possible. We want to put on a great performance here. Despite the limited training, as we've had one match after another, the coach has been preparing the team well. We'll try to play another strong and intense game, as we've been doing, and we'll aim to leave the field with a positive result," commented the red-and-black number 17.

The board's planning for this week also received praise from the athlete, who continued traveling with the group directly from Espírito Santo to Bahia, reducing the team's stress regarding a possible return to Rio de Janeiro.

"We had a trip this Thursday (08), but we had time to rest, focusing on being fit for the game on Saturday (09). The board was smart in scheduling this trip directly to Salvador, instead of returning to Rio. Otherwise, it would have been a little more complicated, due to this extra trip. Now we will rest in the best way possible to be ready for the match."

Flamengo faces Vitória at Barradão, with the ball rolling from 18:30 pm.
