What a victory! In the 33rd round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo defeated Sport 3-0 on Monday night (01), at Ilha do Retiro, in Recife. The goals for Mais Querido were scored by Gabigol, Bruno Henrique and Pedro, in the last minute of the game. With the victory, Mengão shortened the difference to the leader and remains alive in the fight for the national title.

The game
Flamengo started the match in devastating fashion and opened the scoring after just three minutes. Gerson delivered a beautiful pass to Arrascaeta on the left side of the penalty area, who rolled the ball into the middle. Gabigol arrived unmarked to tap it into the back of the net: 1-0.

At 10 minutes, Luan Polli made a poor pass, giving the ball to Bruno Henrique, who passed to Gabigol. With two defenders in front of him, the striker shot over the goal. The Flamengo team was pressing high and quickly regaining possession. And it didn't take long for them to extend their lead! Arrascaeta, inside the area, shot and the ball was blocked, but Bruno Henrique finished the rebound into the goal: 2-0.

At 29 minutes, another great play created by Flamengo. Isla received the ball unmarked on the right and crossed into the area. Gabigol headed the ball, but it went over the crossbar. Playing an engaging style of football, Flamengo dominated throughout the first half and went into halftime with a two-goal lead.

Flamengo returned for the second half with the same intensity, pressing high to win the ball back and launch attacks. Sport changed their approach and began to attack Flamengo more aggressively, creating some opportunities in attack. In the 17th minute, Pepê advanced freely down the right flank to the byline and crossed into the area, but Gabigol headed wide.

When they went on the attack, the Flamengo team created danger and wasted some opportunities. In the last minute of the game, Mengão scored their third goal! Everton Ribeiro received the ball at the edge of the area and passed it to Pedro, who shot across goal to seal the victory for the Rio de Janeiro team.
