Video game rivalry is a hallmark of the room shared by Guilherme Camacho and Marcelo Lomba. The 19-year-old midfielder, promoted to the professional team last year, isn't intimidated by his teammate's size. On the contrary, he asserts that he's much better than the goalkeeper at wrestling and soccer, which are the crowd's favorites.
"We play every day, each in our own room. Here, it's just me and Lomba, but he can't do it. We play a lot of soccer and wrestling, but Lomba loses to both. When he wins a match, he throws a party here," he joked.
Marcelo Lomba is one of the players with the most online contact with fans. Flamengo's reserve goalkeeper constantly updates his Twitter profile with preseason information. In one of his most recent posts, he discussed the banter at the training camp and took the opportunity to mock defender Wellinton as a "punching bag."
"It's a lie that he said he wins! Wellinton actually comes up here to play sometimes, and he always loses. But against me, Lomba can't do it," Camacho teased.
Besides virtual fun, according to Marcelo Lomba, the cast has other leisure options. Pool and cards are among their favorites.
"The group has several hobbies. In the Swedish club there's Juan, Angelim, Léo Medeiros... In the video game club there's me, Fernando, Wellinton and Camacho. There's the pool guys too, like David, Vinícius Pacheco... And the older guys, who end up staying in the room more," he added.
