Barbieri analyzes the match against Cruzeiro and highlights the importance of the nation's support

Before leading Flamengo's final training session for the CONMEBOL Libertadores clash against Cruzeiro, coach Mauricio Barbieri held a press conference at Ninho do Urubu. The Flamengo manager previewed the match that will be held in the round of 16 of the international competition.
"The group is completely focused on this next challenge. Cruzeiro is the current Copa do Brasil champion. We'll face difficulties, as it's a team with a great coach. It's going to be a huge challenge, and we hope to enter the game in a very positive way to get a positive result."
The ball will roll at Maracanã starting at 21:45 p.m. Barbieri made a point of praising the maturity and commitment of the entire squad.
"We have a very mature group. The players are experienced and accustomed to making decisions. We're approaching this game against Cruzeiro as one, but without placing any importance on the Brasileirão or the Copa do Brasil. Everyone is motivated and mobilized for this game. We'll keep our feet on the ground, as it's a 180-minute game. We'll try to come out with an advantage, but without despairing."
Finally, the coach highlighted the strength that the Nation transmits to everyone in the squad when it fills the Maracanã.
"Our goal is always to win. We'll make the most of our home advantage and also enjoy the support of the fans until the end. The idea is to take advantage of the spaces left by Cruzeiro to gain an advantage for the return leg."
