Flamengo concluded their preparations this Tuesday morning (4) for the match against Internacional in the Brazilian Championship. Before traveling to Porto Alegre, the coach gave a press conference at Ninho do Urubu and discussed the match against the Colorado team.
"We have to approach Inter with the utmost seriousness. They also need to go for the result. Although they are more reactive, they can offer spaces that we will try to exploit. That's the approach we'll be working towards."
"Another important and crucial game, just like the last one. We have to go in more determined and focused. This game is no different," Barbieri added.
According to the coach, the focus now is on getting back to winning points in the competition, especially against a direct rival in the standings.
"The focus now is on securing important points to stay in the title race. We need to see this moment as a great opportunity to overtake a direct rival in the standings."
Finally, Mauricio Barbieri emphasized the importance of continuing to create plays, but with more precision to result in goals when reaching the attack.
"I think we've been creating opportunities, we're even on the right track in that regard, but we need to be effective. That's what our conversations with them are all about."
