After beating Chapecoense in the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo turns its attention to the Copa do Brasil. Before the first semifinal game against Corinthians, coach Mauricio Barbieri gave a press conference at Ninho do Urubu and spoke about the importance of the fans this Wednesday (12). The match will be played at Maracanã and kick-off will begin at 21:45 p.m.

"We'll do what we can. Everyone is firm, determined, using home advantage to our advantage, with our fans helping us immensely. We have the best home record in the Brazilian Championship. The Copa do Brasil is a different time, but our fans are a huge help."

The coach also commented on the Mais Querido's attack. According to him, the decision on who will start hasn't been made yet, but he assured everyone that he has his trust.

"We decide game by game based on the opponent. I can't predict who will start. Whichever one we choose will come in and help us a lot, especially the number 9. We count on and trust all three of them. When the time is right, they'll come in and help us a lot."

Finally, Mauricio Barbieri also spoke about Lucas Paquetá and Cuéllar. Both athletes are with their national teams and return on the day of the semifinal against Corinthians.

"I emphasized that it's absurd given the schedule. I don't want to be repetitive, but it comes up again. We're making efforts to have players who are important not just in this game, but in any other. They've performed well this year. That's why they're called up. I can't say how long they'll play. They'll be evaluated upon arrival by the CEP and Dr. Tannure. From there, we'll make a decision."
