Free kicks, corners, penalties... All types of set pieces were worked on by coach Rogério Lourenço during the week and, at the end of it, moments before the ball rolled for the match against Atlético-PR this Sunday (22.08), the players are aware of how these plays can help Flamengo.

Serbian Petkovic, one of the players responsible for this type of play, recalls that the goal that won the 2009 Brazilian title came from a corner kick, and emphasizes that set pieces can decide matches in favor of the red-black team.

"We really have to be more alert. Just to remind you, the sixth title goal came from a play like that. After a corner kick, Angelim headed the ball and scored the winning goal," he said.

Furthermore, the supporter believes Flamengo needs to risk more shots from outside the box. According to him, this could make a difference in some matches.

"We have to improve our use from outside the box. In a tough competition like the Brazilian Championship, this type of play makes a difference. We need to try harder," he added.
