Midfielder Piris da Motta, who injured his right shoulder in the friendly between Paraguay and Peru last Friday, will not require surgery. He was examined by Flamengo's medical department at Ninho do Urubu on Monday.
"Athlete Piris da Motta underwent additional tests today (Monday) and they showed nothing different from the tests and the initial treatment provided by the Paraguayan team. The athlete presented himself today at the CEP and the decision was made to undergo non-surgical treatment and physiotherapy, functional rehabilitation. But for now, he will remain with his shoulder immobilized until Friday. On Friday, he will be re-evaluated," said doctor Márcio Tannure.
Without Piris, Flamengo faces Fluminense this Wednesday, at 21:30 pm, at Maracanã, in the semifinal of the Taça Rio.
