Medical report: Bruno Henrique
By Flamengo Communication - inClube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that athlete Bruno Henrique will undergo arthroscopy to remove scar fibrosis in his right knee next Friday (30).
The procedure will be performed by surgeon Luiz Antônio Vieira, the doctor who operated on the athlete and explained the reasons for the intervention after the first three months of recovery.
"Bruno underwent complex surgery to reconstruct the anterior cruciate, lateral collateral, and posterolateral corner ligaments. The type of reconstruction required us to keep him immobilized for six weeks, with little movement. We know this promotes adhesion formation in the joint. His knee is currently stable and has good extension, but we still need to improve flexion. Since he is three months old, we recommended arthroscopy to release adhesions in the area and manipulate the knee to achieve full flexion," commented the surgeon in charge.
Bruno Henrique's recovery time is estimated at 10 to 12 months. Treatment will continue as usual at the Ninho do Urubu Training Center.
