This Saturday, another Flamengo player won a medal at the Pan American Games in Toronto. Following the Olympic triumphs, it was football's turn to reach the podium. Defender Bressan won the bronze medal with the Brazilian national team, which defeated Panama 3-1 at Hamilton Stadium. Luciano (2) and Lucas Piazon scored the winning goals.

As the tie remained in regulation time, the decision for a place on the podium went to overtime. Due to the high temperature, with the wind chill amplified by the synthetic turf, Brazil had to overcome its limitations and secured the medal in the final minutes.
