Again with Bressan in the starting lineup, playing the full 90 minutes, Brazil defeated Peru 4-0 and qualified for the semifinals of the football tournament with one round to spare. With six points, Brazil can only be overtaken by Panama, which has four, and will go into the final round looking to solidify its leadership of Group A.
The qualification was confirmed with the second game this Thursday. After defeating Peru, the players kept an eye on the match between Panama and Canada. Brazil needed a draw or a victory for Panama, and the match ended 0-0.
Brazil and Panama will face off at 18:35 PM (Brasilia time) next Monday (July 20.07th). Once again, the match will be played at Tim Hortons Stadium in Hamilton.
