After this morning's team training session in Gávea, goalkeeper and captain Bruno confirmed that he will not be changing clubs in the next transfer window. According to the number 1, the opportunity to make history with Flamengo weighed heavily in his decision to stay at the club.

"In the three years I've been at Flamengo, people have always talked about Milan and Benfica, and I've always said that I'm happy here at Flamengo, more relaxed and adapted to Rio. Little by little I've earned my place and I don't see myself anywhere else. I don't plan on leaving and I want to make history here, like Rogério has at São Paulo and Marcos at Palmeiras. Flamengo was a team that invested in me. When I arrived, there was some distrust from the fans, and I gradually earned my place. The moment I'm having today, the recognition in Brazil and perhaps the world, is because of Flamengo. I always try to repay them with good performances and by seeking titles. I want to establish myself more and this is where I want to stay."

The goalkeeper spoke a little about his responsibility as captain of the most beloved club in Brazil.

"Being captain is something to be highly valued. Whoever has been captain here has become a legend, but it's not just about wearing an armband and drawing lots before the game. You need to set an example on and off the field. I've already changed a lot in some ways, without getting into conflict and always trying to help people. I'm happy with this new role."
