Flamengo finished their participation in the group stage with a victory in the derby against Fluminense. The "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) relied on Bruno Henrique in inspired form to beat their rival 3-2. The number 27 scored twice and provided the assist for Gabriel to score the final goal for Flamengo. 

After the match, Bruno spoke to reporters and talked about the importance of having delivered a great performance. 

"After a few games without scoring, today I was able to score two goals again, on a derby day, and provide an assist for Gabriel to score. So, I'm very happy. The whole team deserves congratulations." 

The striker also revealed the conversation he had with the squad during the week of preparation. 

"What we talked about in the locker room, what we talked about during the week... I don't know if you'll remember, but I said that we were going to go in differently (compared to the first derby), and we managed to do it."
