Undefeated, Flamengo is already in the next round of the second round of the Campeonato Carioca. While the victory over Tigres midweek put them well on track for qualification, the new victory over América this Sunday sealed their place in the league. The team from Gávea advances to the semifinals and remains in contention for their second Taça Rio title and fourth state title.

For goalkeeper Bruno, the team deserves congratulations not only for the comeback against América, but also for the entire campaign in the competition.

"The team deserves congratulations for what they did in the Rio Cup. Today, we conceded a goal, but we played as always. We didn't feel the blow, and the important thing was getting the three points. Football is about results. No matter how well we play and how much we have more players, if we don't score, the work goes down the drain. So, I congratulate the team for what they did," said the number 1.

With their spot in the next round secured, Bruno believes coach Andrade may even rest some players in the final round against Friburguense. This will allow more fatigued players to rest, giving the team more time to work calmly toward the finals.

"Now that we have a long period of work ahead of us, I would let some players go, but I'll leave that up to Andrade to decide, and he'll certainly do his best for Flamengo," he added.

Bruno conceded just five goals in seven games in the Rio Cup. The red-and-black team's performance in the second half of the season is commendable. The team won six of its seven matches and drew only one, a derby against Botafogo.
