Bruno ready for battle at the Olympic
Goalkeeper is confirmed for Sunday's match.
By Flamengo Archive - inOne of Flamengo's leading goalkeepers, Bruno, has confirmed he will be on the field for Sunday's match against Grêmio at the Olympic Stadium. The number 1 player didn't train yesterday or today due to lower back pain, but said he will participate in the match in Porto Alegre.
- "I'm going to play. I just felt a little pain, but it's nothing serious. I'm feeling strong and ready for the match," said Bruno.
The goalkeeper praised the choice of coach Caio Júnior, who will field the red-black team in a 3-5-2 formation.
- "I like playing with a three-man defense. Caio Júnior is thinking about the best way for us to face Grêmio at the Olímpico. We have everything we need to play a great game. In the Brazilian Championship, it's important to get points away from home. We're going to win, but a draw is also a good result. We just can't lose."
For Bruno, Flamengo has everything it needs to win its sixth national championship title.
- "In addition to a very strong team, we have an excellent bench. Flamengo is in a good position to fight for the Brazilian title. The Club hasn't won the championship since 92, and this is our opportunity to win the sixth title.
