Buck says team is 80% fit
Fitness coach believes the group will be polished for the next rounds of the Brazilian Championship

With many players arriving recently, Flamengo's squad is finishing its formation and, obviously, not all players are at the same level technically, tactically, and physically. The new committee, formed by coach Silas, has been working with the Gávea team to balance the group in this regard.
Physical trainer Emerson Buck explained the activity he did with the players on Monday (05.09) and highlighted the importance of making good use of the training time the team has between matches to work out the details.
"After the game, we're used to doing two-touch, possession work to improve the players' conditioning and also help with the technical and tactical aspects," he said.
Buck also took the opportunity to explain the group's physical condition and expressed confidence that the team will improve as the competition progresses.
"I believe Flamengo should be around 80% fit. They're lacking a bit of strength and speed. Even their advanced average age contributes to this. There's a strong schedule of games until October 10th, and we'll try to polish the group," he concluded.
