Leo Moura called for a convincing Flamengo victory to celebrate his 30th birthday this Thursday. This desire stirred Obina. Inspired from the start of the match, the striker rose above the Coritiba defense in the 16th minute and hit the post after a cross from Luizinho. Three minutes later, Jaílton delivered a long pass, which theoretically would have been easily cleared by the Paraná defense. It would have been, had Obina not believed it and stolen the ball.
