This Wednesday (29), at 19:30 pm, Flamengo will face Internacional at the Kléber Andrade stadium, in Cariacica, for the 12th round of the Brazilian Championship. The duel is a direct confrontation in the competition, as the teams are, respectively, in sixth (17 points) and second (20 points) places, but separated by only three points. To get into the mood for the game, we decided to remember some notable clashes of the classic.

#1 – Internacional 1 x 1 Flamengo - 06/12/1987

In the first leg of the 1987 Brazilian Championship final, Flamengo drew 1-1 with Internacional at Beira Rio Stadium in Porto Alegre. The goals were scored by Bebeto in the 30th minute of the first half and Amarildo, who equalized for Internacional just two minutes later.

In the seventh round of the 2009 Brazilian Championship, the Mais Querido defeated Internacional 4-0 at the Maracanã. Adriano Imperador was the star of the match, scoring three goals (12/1st half, 46/1st half, 76/2nd half). Emerson completed the scoring with a goal in the 35th minute of the first half.

Also in 2009, an unusual incident made the rounds on social media on the day of the title-deciding match for the "Mais Querido" (More Beloved), December 6th, against Grêmio. A video from Rede Globo shows an Internacional fan celebrating the "near-win" of the Brazilian Championship, while his team was beating Santo André at Beira Rio. In the middle of the interview, Ronaldo Angelim scores at the Maracanã, knocking Colorado out of the lead and giving Flamengo the title. The fan is informed of the Mengão defender's goal by a friend, who was watching the rival's game on the radio, and the two lament live on air.

#4 - Internacional 1 x 2 Flamengo - 08/07/2015

Flamengo won the match against Internacional by a score of 2-1, at Beira-Rio, in the 12th round of the 2015 Brazilian Championship. The game marked the debut of Peruvian Paolo Guerrero, who did not disappoint and found the net, sealing the victory for Flamengo at Beira-Rio, in Porto Alegre. The goals were scored by Ernando, in the 47th minute of the second half, Guerrero, in the 10th minute of the first half, and Éverton, who received a beautiful assist from the Peruvian in the 20th minute of the second half.

Fabiano Costa scored Inter's consolation goal.
