"It was suspended, yes. Especially because the world of football has stopped. Anyone who doesn't feel affected at a time like this is because they are truly, extremely insensitive. In the next few days we should resume this. When talking about planning for the future, we need to look at Flamengo's year in 2016. I needed to say thank you, regardless of this last round, which could be worth a second place for Flamengo, but which lost a lot of importance in everything. Regarding 2016, I would like to thank the technical committee, athletes and employees of Flamengo, as it was a completely atypical year. What we experienced this year, with the team traveling from January to the beginning of November, living outside of Rio de Janeiro, missing practically 47 training sessions, is very compromising. It was 116 days outside of Rio de Janeiro. Imagine how much this impacts the athletes' emotions. However, I didn't have a single problem with indiscipline or lack of commitment. And I say this for all of us, because I go and return with the athletes, and I stay with them. I was like that at all clubs and it wouldn't be any different here. How much this impacts our personal and emotional lives throughout this period. We have to value and praise Flamengo's campaign in the Brazilian Championship. We didn't start the year well, but, according to the plan, we would make investments in the team throughout the period, as that was what our budget predicted, and, here at Flamengo, we are very strict in this regard. We don't do anything that is outside our budget. And we managed, during the Brazilian campaign, to become protagonists again. Remember that Flamengo was one of the clubs that did not fire a coach, because, unfortunately, Muricy had to leave us, and here at the end of the year we also have a result of the work he started. I want to record this. A unique figure, as well as a great coach, and one that Zé Ricardo and Jayme continued. Flamengo's numbers were excellent in the Brazilian Championship. We broke a record number of points in our history in the points race and, due to details and some other reasons beyond our control, the title did not come this year. But I'm sure these titles are much closer than they are far away. There was a huge donation here from all these professionals. We had twice as much mileage compared to Atlético-MG, who played in the Libertadores, as we did to Fluminense, who played in the Florida Cup, not to mention our opponents who were at the top of the table. For all of this, I would like to emphasize how committed this group was. We have had numerous other advances as well. The number of injuries, which was something that concerned us, with the implementation of the Center of Excellence in Performance, we had only six muscle injuries in the year, which is a very low number for someone who faced this marathon. I wish I were talking about all this with a different expression than one of lamentation. But I do this just so that the fans recognize how much these players and the coaching staff did. Here in the country, unfortunately, only the champion is exalted, and many times mistakes are also covered up when one is champion, and second and third place are often forgotten when analyzing a campaign.
