The starters won the collective 3-2, with goals from Kleberson, Ibson and Marcelinho Paraíba.
By Flamengo Archive - inAfter a light workout yesterday, Flamengo's squad returned to Gávea on Tuesday morning for their first collective training session of the week. The red-and-black team is preparing to face Coritiba on Thursday at Maracanã, a crucial match to keep their dream of the Brazilian title alive.
During the training session, on a reduced field, Caio Júnior tested a new formation for the team. With Fábio Luciano and Juan suspended, Airton and Fernando were given a chance at defense and left wing, respectively. The starting lineup won the session 3-2, with goals from Kleberson, Ibson, and Marcelinho Paraíba. Vandinho and Maxi were reduced for the reserves.
The starters trained with: Bruno; Jailton, Airton and Ronaldo Angelim; Léo Moura, Toró, Ibson, Kleberson and Fernando; Marcelinho Paraíba and Obina. The reserves will take to the field with: Diego, Thiago Salles, Leonardo and Dininho; Jônatas, Sambueza, Maxi, Fierro and Juan; Vandinho and Josiel.
Luizinho, with groin pain, and Everton, with pain in the back of his right thigh, did not participate in the training session. Both players continue their physical therapy sessions this afternoon at the red-and-black training camp at the Windsor Hotel. According to Dr. Walter Martins, Luizinho and Everton have a good chance of playing, as they are only treating muscle pain.
