Caio Júnior relies on physical strength to beat Ipatinga

The commander remembers that the opponent's field makes it difficult to exchange passes.

Coach Caio Júnior believes that physical strength and set pieces can decide Sunday's match against Ipatinga, in Minas Gerais.

"It will be a game with a lot of contact and physicality. The Ipatinga pitch is quite different from the Maracanã, and we won't have much possession. It will be difficult to exchange passes. A set piece could decide the game."

The red-and-black manager confirmed Jailton's return to the starting lineup. Obina could also get a chance.

"Jailton has played most of the games this year and last year. He's very good at playing as a third center-back. I don't want to change the team's formation too much. I also wouldn't rule out Obina coming in alongside Souza or Tardelli."

Caio Júnior praised Renato Augusto's performance in this afternoon's tactical training session. For the coach, this is the midfielder's time to shine again.

"I'm counting on Renato Augusto for Sunday's match. I was very pleased with his performance in today's practice session. I have high expectations, and I hope he can have a great game," said Caio, confirming that Renato Augusto will be used in midfield.
