Flamengo unveiled coach Caio Júnior as the club's new manager early Tuesday afternoon. Alongside Joel Santana, Kleber Leite, and Plínio Serpa Pinto, Caio Júnior said that leading the Gávea club will be an unforgettable opportunity and that they will be pursuing the Copa Libertadores and World Cup titles.

- "When Kleber Leite called me, I didn't think twice. It will be an unforgettable experience in my life. Everyone says it's a risk to take over Flamengo, because the team is doing very well and if something goes wrong, the blame will fall on me. I already think differently. I think it's a great opportunity in my career to win the Libertadores and the World Cup in Japan."

For Caio Júnior, the tips that Joel Santana will give him about the cast will be fundamental.

- "This change of command is a different thing in football. The first thing I'm going to do is listen to Joel. I have the humility to recognize that I have to continue his great work. He'll share with me all the characteristics of the players, and that will be very important. I want to take a look at his drawing board," he joked.

The new manager knows that his style is quite different from the current coach, but he is confident that he will win over the red-black team.

- "There is no comparison between us. Each one has his own style. I will win over the players with a lot of honesty and sincerity. I will prove that I can deliver results."

Caio Júnior recalled the red-black history in his presentation.

- "Every time Flamengo is mentioned, I think of a packed Maracanã, with Zico, Júnior, Adílio, Andrade and Leandro. It was definitely the best team I've ever seen play."

Current coach Joel Santana said goodbye and wished Caio Júnior good luck.

"I want to wish Caio Júnior all the luck from the bottom of my heart. He's competent and will do a great job. He's had good experiences with the last teams he's managed. The group is among the three best in Brazil and ready to win titles. The moment is favorable. We smell victories at Gávea."

After the presentation at the Rogério Steimberg Auditorium, Caio Júnior headed to the Gávea field along with Joel Santana and Kleber Leite. The new coach was introduced to the Flamengo squad and engaged in a lively conversation with the players.
