After physical training this morning at the Gávea field, coach Caio Júnior confirmed that midfielder Everton is ruled out for Saturday's match against Náutico at Aflitos. The player is experiencing pain in the back of his right thigh. Léo Moura, with a sprained right ankle, did some weight training, but it shouldn't be a problem for Saturday.

With Everton ruled out, Flamengo's coach is considering giving Toró a chance in midfield. The player has received high praise from the Flamengo manager.

"Toró is an option. He's been training very well, and I always like to remind myself that he's a professional any coach would love to have at their disposal. He's a player who's equally dedicated whether he's a starter or a substitute. I'm figuring out how to build the team and will start testing it tomorrow."

Another player expected to earn a starting spot is Vandinho. After his impressive performance in Saturday's win against Sport, the striker is expected to form a strike partnership with Marcelinho Paraíba.

"I want to start Vandinho because he's earned his place on the field and needs to be comfortable playing. Vandinho is a mobile striker. He started his career at 17 playing center forward, then became a second striker and is now more versatile. Depending on his teammate, which is initially Marcelinho, who plays well in the build-up near the box, he could be favored," said the coach.

Caio Júnior admits that the red-black team has had difficulty creating plays.

-"Perhaps this is my biggest challenge today. Making the team create more chances, which hasn't happened in the last two games."

The red-black coach assured that Flamengo is prepared to face Náutico at Aflitos, even knowing the difficulties that the red-black will face with the state of the pitch.

"We're prepared for a decisive football match in Pernambuco. We can't imagine anything different. The pitch may not be the best, which leads us to believe it won't be a very good game technically. But we have to know how to perform in those conditions as well."
