Considered a result capable of revitalizing the team in the Brazilian Championship, the victory over Grêmio in the middle of the week also served as a catalyst for coach Caio Júnior to determine the ideal lineup for Flamengo. After the afternoon's recreational training session at one of the adjacent fields of the Olympic Stadium, the coach confirmed that he will maintain the team that defeated the Brazilian league leader for tomorrow's match against Internacional at Beira-Rio. Aírton will remain in midfield, with Cristian being an option on the bench. Up front, Marcelinho and Maxi are confirmed as starters.

"It's not just because we won. I liked the team tactically, and I think it's the best I have right now," the coach said.

Caio Júnior praised Airton's performance against Grêmio and gave another reason to keep him on the team.

"He felt the natural fatigue that comes with not playing frequently. And he's a player who adds height to our game, which is also important against an opponent who is very strong in set pieces," he explained.

Regarding the strength of tomorrow's opponent, the Flamengo coach acknowledged that Inter has signed excellent reinforcements for the second half of the Brazilian Championship. In contrast, he believes the Flamengo players will be even more motivated to leave the field with a victory.

"It should be normal in Brazilian football for teams to have players like Alex, Daniel Carvalho, and D'Alessandro, but not everyone can reinforce like that. But it also motivates us. Whoever is going to mark players of that caliber will certainly come in even more eager."
