After recreational training this morning in Gávea, coach Caio Júnior maintained his message of recent days, stating that Flamengo is fully capable of pursuing its sixth Brazilian championship. To that end, the manager hopes for another victory tomorrow against Sport at the Maracanã, in a match he believes will be fiercely contested.

"Obviously, we need to believe in the title. Believe in our standings because we have a chance of reaching 70 points. Grêmio has a Gre-Nal tournament ahead of them, and they could stumble. But the most important thing is to do our part. Only then can we dream of the title. We'll face a very strong opponent, qualified for the Libertadores, who went to São Paulo and beat Palmeiras 3-0. It'll be a more enjoyable game, and the fans know they need to support us from start to finish."

Even though he believes in the title, Caio Júnior admits that there are still some details missing for the red-black team to be ready to win the Brasileirão.

"For a few reasons, we can't say we're ready to be champions. We're missing a solid attack, a lineup the fans know by heart, and key points to confirm we're ready. But that comes with continued hard work and is what we strive for until the end of the Brazilian Championship. If it weren't for a few factors, we would be favorites."

For Caio Júnior, the important thing at this point in the championship is to win, even if it's not with a great performance.

"Against Fluminense, we played a great game and didn't win. We were losing until the 42nd minute. The draw was unfair. Against Ipatinga, the important thing was to win at all costs, even if we weren't playing well. We have to keep winning."
