Party for Flamengo at the City Hall

Kicking off the celebrations for the 112th anniversary of the founding of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and the inclusion of Flamengo Week in the official calendar of the city of Rio de Janeiro, councilwoman Patricia Amorim will hold a big party in the plenary of the City Council, on the 13th, Tuesday, at 18:30 pm, a big party.

On the occasion, Patricia will also award the Pan-American Sports Merit Medals to some of the club's athletes (Diego and Daniele Hypólito, Jade Barbosa, Vitor Rosa, Marcelinho, Mariana Brochado and Ricardo Prado).

Flamengo Week was created by Patricia Amorim and sanctioned by the city's mayor a month ago. From now on, the week that includes the club's anniversary (November 15th) will be called Flamengo Week.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF RIO DE JANEIRO

Decrees:

Art. 1º The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo Week is hereby established, to be celebrated in the week commencing November 15th, under the terms set forth in this Law.

Sole paragraph. Flamengo Regatta Club Week will become part of the City's Official Calendar of Events of cultural, sporting, historical, and touristic interest, and will be celebrated in November of each year, during the week that includes the 15th.

Art. 2 For the purposes of the provisions of this Law, the Executive Branch is authorized to develop dissemination programs and activities that include education, health, sports, environment, culture and other events that ensure the effective participation of the community, notably the municipal public network.

Art. 3º In order to fully comply with the provisions of this Law, the Executive Branch is authorized to promote projects that preserve the historical memory of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.

Art. 4 The Executive Branch shall adopt the necessary procedures to regulate this Law.

Art. 5. Expenses arising from the application of this Law will be covered by budgetary allocations, with the Executive Branch being authorized to open supplementary credits whenever necessary.

Art. 6 This Law shall come into force on the date of its publication.
