Defender Ronaldo Angelim, who renewed his contract until the end of 2008, scored the first goal in Flamengo's 3-1 victory last Wednesday. Angelim has no preference for a shirt.

- Whenever we play with three defenders, I take the spare shirt, this time it was number nine - he said.

Angelim's aerial play is one of his strengths. Most of the defender's goals have come with headers, taking advantage of crosses, but this time he showed great opportunism.

"I got lucky with the goal. I kicked with the wrong leg, my right, the goalkeeper helped and the ball went in," he said.

Flamengo's next three games will be against Corinthians, Santos, and Atlético-PR, all outside Rio de Janeiro. Despite their opponents' struggles, Angelim is confident the team will recover in the Brazilian Championship.

"We have to get out of this situation soon. Although the next few games will be difficult, if we win, the team will gain morale for the rest of the championship," he concluded.
