In an interview with RJ TV on Tuesday afternoon, goalkeeper Bruno spoke about the emotion he felt when lifting the 2009 Brazilian Championship trophy, which was presented to him last night (Monday) at the Craque do Brasileirão awards ceremony, held at the Vivo Rio concert hall in the center of the Marvelous City.

During the celebration following the awards ceremony, the goalkeeper didn't let go of the trophy for a second. The number 1 enjoyed the festivities, socialized with his teammates, but never took his eyes off the trophy, which he will have to return this Tuesday afternoon in Gávea. The goalkeeper has been at Gávea since 2006, but he wasn't part of the team that won the Copa do Brasil. Since that year, he's stated that he wasn't content with winning state titles and wanted to finally win a major title with Flamengo. It took him three years, but he finally got there.

"It was only yesterday that it all sank in. When I lifted the trophy, I felt the emotion of being Brazilian champion with Flamengo. Of course, it would have been better to lift it on the field, with the fans present, but it was very good. I slept with the trophy next to me. It's very well taken care of. It would have been better if it had been in the stadium, lifting the trophy with the fans, but it was yesterday that it all sank in, when I lifted the trophy," said Bruno.
