One of Flamengo's standout players in this Brazilian Championship, captain Fábio Luciano assured that the red-and-black team remains motivated in its quest for its sixth title. With five games remaining in the tournament, Fábio stated that everyone's goal is to win the remaining games.

-"We'll keep dreaming because we have a chance. When the scoreline is no longer enough to fight, I'll be the first to admit it. But as long as there's hope, we'll fight. I think we can win the remaining five games; we have to think that way. If we didn't, we'd have to take a vacation. It's a difficult situation, the opponents are strong, but we'll fight until the end." Fábio Luciano believes in a closely contested classic on Sunday, between Flamengo and Botafogo.

"Botafogo still has a slim chance of winning the Libertadores, just as we do of winning the title. We'll respect our opponents, knowing their strength, and we'll do our part. This being a derby, they're certainly motivated. Beating us could clear things up for them."

The red-black captain did not want to get involved in the controversy surrounding referee Marcelo de Lima Henrique's selection for the classic.

"We can't choose who the referee is. We know there was a penalty, but we're not going to complain about anything. We're going to focus on winning and forget about any problems that might arise from outside."
