Captain wants Fla to learn from its mistakes
Fábio Luciano demands a reaction from the team in the next away games.
By Flamengo Archive - inAfter two days off, Flamengo's squad returned this Tuesday morning for a physical evaluation. After the session, captain Fábio Luciano said the Flamengo team must learn from Saturday's 4-2 loss to São Paulo at Maracanã.
"A good performance doesn't always lead to a win. We have to correct some mistakes. In five games, we've conceded two goals. Now, we've conceded four in one game, and we're going to correct our mistakes to perform better in the rest of the competition. Since I think the performance against São Paulo was good, I'm hoping for a better result against Ipatinga."
For Fábio, setbacks happen in a championship as long as the Brasileirão.
"The championship will be balanced for a long time. That's why we need to be prepared for any setbacks that may occur. We'll continue working, analyze our mistakes, and always strive to improve."
The red-black captain is already thinking about Flamengo's next games in the national championship, against Ipatinga and Sport, away from home.
"We'll have two away games, but we'll count on the fans' support. We have to be strong away from home too. Anyone who wants to fight for the title has to win at home but also get points away from home. If it had been like that last year, we could have even fought for the title."
