Argentine Carlos Alcaraz arrived at Flamengo with the status of the most expensive signing in the club's history. After just two days of training, he already made his debut with the Sacred Mantle, but only this Friday (6) was he officially presented to the Nation. The 21-year-old midfielder, formerly of Southampton and Juventus, gave his first press conference at Ninho do Urubu after training this morning. Check out the main excerpts:

First words
"I'm very happy to be here and to be part of Flamengo. I really want to get to know the Red-Black Nation. I thank them for wanting to sign me. As Marcos said, it was a huge fight for them to sign me. I'm very happy to be with the biggest club in South America."

Difference from England
"The truth is that the game is very similar to Argentina's. It's very direct. It's a game I really enjoy, attacking and attacking. It seems very similar to Argentina and England. It's a style of play that makes me feel very good."

Relationship with Alex Sandro
"I was fortunate to have Alex Sandro as a teammate at Juventus. I spoke with him before signing with Flamengo. I was very happy he came here. Juventus was a great pillar for me. Meeting him here is great; I'm very attached to him and being with him. I believe he can help me understand and speak Portuguese more quickly. I'm very grateful to Alex."

Play style
"I really enjoy playing in the middle and always getting forward. I'm a bit like Nico De La Cruz, who also really likes to get forward. Whenever I put on the shirt, I try to give 100% or more. I have a lot of drive and I don't like to lose. In training and in games, I have a very strong temperament. I always like to win. I believe this will help me contribute a lot to the team."
