Carlos Noval is Flamengo's new executive director of football
The professional has been at the club since 2010 and led the restructuring of the youth divisions

Carlos Noval is Flamengo's new executive director of football. A multiple champion with a distinguished track record in developing athletes, he takes over immediately, replacing Rodrigo Caetano. The presentation will take place on Monday (April 02.04) after the afternoon training session.At the youth level, Noval has participated in 73 victories over the last eight years, including three times in the São Paulo Junior Football Cup (2011, 2016, and 2018), the country's most important under-20 competition. He joined the club in 2010, hired by Patricia Amorim, the club's president at the time, to take over the youth football department. A Flamengo fan, he is the son of Renato Noval, a former club director who passed away in 2015.
The restructuring of the youth academy revealed hundreds of players who were either signed to the professional ranks or traded to other clubs. In the current squad, 13 players worked with the new manager. Finally, he participated in the implementation of the Belgian consultancy Double Pass, which, among other successful cases, introduced a new methodology to the German national team and arrived at the club to optimize the development of new talent.
