The Flamengo teams, in the children's and junior categories, debuted in the 2009 State Futsal Championship last Saturday (12/9), against Cabo Frio. Both matches were held at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium, in Gávea.

Despite all their determination, the children's team ended up tied 2-2 with their opponents. In the children's game, they lost 1-0 to the red-and-blacks, who didn't let up and fought for the ball constantly.

Aware of the unsatisfactory result, the Flamengo boys guarantee they will give their all to do well and bring the golden trophy back to Gávea in the second half of the year. This week will be a week of intense training for both teams, which will have this week's round off.
