The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) released the complete schedule for the 2019 Brazilian Championship last Friday afternoon (22). Flamengo will debut in the competition against Cruzeiro, at Maracanã, on April 27, 28 or 29. The dates will be confirmed in the coming weeks and also throughout the season.

The first derby of the championship will be in the eighth round, against Fluminense, at the Maracanã. The match against their rival will be on June 08th, 09th or 10th. The match against Botafogo is scheduled for the 12th round (between July 27th and 29th) and the encounter with Vasco for the 15th (August 17th, 18th or 19th). 

After the ninth round of the 2019 Brasileirão, the competition will take a break for the Copa América. Games will resume in the second half of June. The CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) also confirmed the use of video assistant referee (VAR) in the championship.
