When the players arrived for training this Tuesday (November 09.11th) at Flamengo's training center in Vargem Grande, they found the place with a 'new look'. Small, but important, repairs were carried out, making the environment more pleasant. The painting of walls, baseboards and the gate, cleaning of the entire training center area, plus the laying of asphalt on the main roads, pleased everyone very much.
One of the most committed figures in the construction project for Flamengo's training center, coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo was already aware of the changes and has even announced further changes, which should take place in the coming weeks.
"Today we already had some news at the training center. It was a good surprise for those who came here. You can see that the walls are painted and the ground is paved. It's a start. The construction project for the definitive professional module will take about a year, but in two weeks the temporary facilities should already be ready. This will already give the Ninho a different look," said Luxemburgo, highlighting, once again, the importance of having a top-tier training center for both the youth academy and the professional team.
"A training center is extremely necessary for developing players. Flamengo is off to a good start, having the youth academy and the professional team together in the same space. With the right distance, but showing the youth player what a professional can be, so they can get a taste of it," he concluded.
