With an eye on the season's next challenge, Flamengo held another training session on Friday afternoon. Before the session, goalkeeper César gave a press conference and commented on the pressure of wearing the Sacred Mantle.
"This is Flamengo, there will be pressure, demands, and that's good. It's what I want and what everyone wants: to work at a big club and have this responsibility. It's a privilege. But we need to be calm to achieve positive results. Often, an exaggerated atmosphere comes from outside. But here, honestly, I don't see it that way. Everyone knows the responsibility, we understand the challenge, which is great. There's a pressure on us internally, but we're aware of the responsibility we have in the Libertadores."
The number 37 also spoke about the possibility of Flamengo entering with an alternative team in the match against São Paulo.
"It's an opportunity. Every athlete sees it as a chance to defend Flamengo. Whoever plays will do their best to achieve a positive result. When the B team was called upon, they performed very well and gave their best."
César took advantage of his chat with journalists to analyze the season's two upcoming challenges.
"We will undoubtedly fight for these three points. And of course, we then have a big game in the Libertadores, to seek qualification, which is our main objective."
